STANSBURY JETTY

Public BBQ

Stansbury Jetty stretches into crystal-clear waters where the real spectacle isn't the horizon ahead, but the dramatic crumbling cliff faces that greet you when looking back toward shore. This well-maintained structure, illuminated along its entire length, draws fishing enthusiasts who come armed with squid jigs and crab nets, though they're increasingly competing with the local seals for the catch. The jetty bustles during holidays but offers peaceful moments for sunrise watching, where flocks of seagulls perform their evening aerobatics against the sunset. Shore facilities include a boat ramp with ample parking, toilets, and a lovely lawn area dotted with tables and barbecues. While the few-hour drive west from Adelaide might test your patience, the combination of excellent fishing opportunities, safe walking conditions, and those remarkable cliff vistas makes the journey worthwhile.
